Snowfall after Easter is often called “unseasonal”, “surprising” and “an unusual event that doesn’t really have an explanation,” says Argiris. “However there certainly is an explanation: we are heading towards a new Mini Ice Age. If you keep that in mind, this kind of late snowfall is neither unseasonal, surprising or unusual. We’ll just have to get used to it.”
